Climber Convicted for Girlfriends Fatal Summit Abandonment
An Austrian climber was convicted of manslaughter for leaving his exhausted girlfriend alone near the Grossglockner summit to fetch help. She died of hypothermia. He received a suspended sentence and fine for gross negligence.
