U.S. Smoking Hits Historic Low, Vaping Rises

U.S. adult cigarette smoking fell to a historic low of 9.8% in 2024. However, nearly 19% still use tobacco, as e-cigarette use rises, particularly among youth, offsetting progress and raising public health concerns.
