This year's Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia has seen over 1,000 deaths due to extreme temperatures reaching 51.8 degrees Celsius. Around 1.8 million Muslims participated in the annual pilgrimage, with countries reporting a total of 1,081 deaths.
