Niemann penalized two strokes for club throwing

Joaquín Niemann was penalized two strokes for throwing his club at the U.S. Open after being denied relief from fire ants. He carded a quintuple-bogey 11 on the sixth hole and finished with an 8-over 78 in the first round.
