Surfer in Critical Condition After Shark Attack in Maui

A 61-year-old surfer in Hawaii had his leg severed by a shark at Waiehu Beach Park, leading to closure of the area. The man, treated and hospitalized in critical condition, did not see the approaching shark. Officials are patrolling the waters to ensure safety.
