Elephants at Colorado Zoo Denied Legal Right to Pursue Freedom

Colorado's highest court rules that five elephants at a zoo do not have the legal right to seek freedom, following a similar defeat in New York. The Nonhuman Rights Project argued for their release to sanctuaries, but the court determined elephants are not considered persons.
